Planning + Development
After many years of coordination to procure funding from the EDA (U.S. Economic Development Administration), Northern Border Regional Commission (including awards from both New Hampshire and Maine), accumulated grant funding from the Federal Aviation Administration, and investment from New Hampshire and Maine Departments of Transportation, we’re excited to announce our runway extension is in the planning stages and will soon be under construction and on the way to completion. This will add 800 feet in length, for a total of 5002 feet with a full length parallel taxiway in the plan.
As a true regional airport serving the entire Mount Washington Valley of Maine and New Hampshire plus the lakes region of western Maine, participation from both states, as well as Federal agencies shows the overall commitment of all involved to the importance of this location as a transportation infrastructure resource. We’re pleased by these financial endorsements and confidence placed in our decision to pursue this significant improvement project.

The SPONSOR invites electronic bids for the above referenced project at the Eastern Slopes Regional Airport, Fryeburg, Maine. The name of the Bidding Documents will be for the above referenced project.
Sealed bid Proposals for the above referenced project at the Eastern Slope Regional Airport will be accepted at the Terminal Building Office, Eastern Slope Regional Airport Airport, 210 Lyman Drive, Fryeburg, ME, 04037, until 11:00 a.m. (prevailing time) on Friday, July 12, 2024 at which time, all bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. The time of receiving and opening bids may be postponed due to emergencies and unforeseen conditions.
Bids must be submitted in a SEALED envelope, clearly marked with the following information:
